Italian Danzhall Gyalz Crew Interview!!!

ITALIAN DANZHALL GYALS
Intro
Italian Danzhall Gyalz Crew consists of 2 females named Kiara & Ylenia aged 20 & 23 respectivly. They are from a town in Central Italy called Campobasso in Molise.

Questions
1) How did you get started as dancers?
Kiara and I met while taking dancehall courses, we've been together for about 3 years. After dancing all over Italy with Big Sounds and other DHQ's, we entered and won the Italian Danchall Queen Contest "Group Category", this has been one of our most important accomplishments.

2) So where can we see you next?
We have show's coming up in Catanzaro & Milan. You can find us on Facebook for more info.

3)Where do you see yourself 3-5 years from now?
We will still be dancing, hopefully in Jamaica, we plan to still be active in the Dancehall world for sure! There's always a new step to learn so we figure, why not be in Jamaica to learn them first!!!

4)Can you tell us more about the Italian Dancehall scene?
The Italian scene has been growing for many years now, with International Sounds like "One Love Hi Powa" & "Heavy Hammer" having won many clashes against other sounds from around the world.  The dancing scene is growing in popularity as well, there's always new Dancehall courses/classes popping up all over Italy with more and more people becoming interested every day.

5)Many in the Dancehall community complain that Dancehall is dying or getting "too HipHop". What is your opinion on current state of Dancehall?
Well of course music changes and evolves almost daily and we do find more and more beats sound like HipHop.  Everyone is free to like what they want of course but, personally I miss the good ol "Raggamuffin" days!!!  We are still very satisfied with Dancehall music tho.

6)So people understand the hard work put into being a Danchall Dancer, can u describe some of the preparation involved in doing a show?
In preparing for a show we train together on a daily basis for weeks, as a duo timing, and choreography take a  lot hard work to perfect.  So that everything is done in time and looks good on stage.

7)Your favorite/most satisfying thing about being a dancer?
Most challenging thing about being a dancer?
The most satisfying thing is to see people enjoying our performance and watching us dance.
The most difficult thing is to get the people involved(grab their attention/give them the vibe), this is what motivates us to be original and always learning new steps.

8)Three words or phrases that best describe you?
Humility, Energetic, & Professional

Some Fun Questions:
1) Favorite 3 Artists right now
There are so many but right now, Mavado, Aidonia, & Kartel
2) Favorite 3 Soundsystems right now?
Bass Odyssey, Heavy Hammer, & Black Chiney
3) Have you ever heard of any sounds or dancers from the Canada/Toronto Dancehall Scene?
